The A14 junction 52-55 concrete overlay scheme forms part of our Lot 8 works in areas 6 and 8 under the National Highways Scheme Delivery Framework.

National Highways engaged Winvic to price and schedule the A14 concrete overlay works. We developed a feasible programme and worked closely with several National Highways Lot providers to ensure smooth coordination among all contractors on-site.

The project aimed to:

  • Ensure the concrete road has sufficient life remaining
  • Ensure Road Restraint Systems (RRSs) remain the correct height above finished road level
  • Overlay the concrete road with new bituminous surface
  • Refresh road markings to current standards

Kevin Barry, Project Manager for National Highways said: “Just to say a big thank you and well done for all involved for getting this one completed. As you all know there have been challenges from the start which have required you all to be flexible right from when the scheme was first proposed back in June. Your co-operation is much appreciated as always.”
