Winvic and SDF Yorkshire North East Community wins Highways UK Team of the Year Award

Winvic is pleased to announce that the National Highways Scheme Delivery Framework (SDF) Yorkshire North East (YNE) Community Group was awarded the Team of the Year accolade at this year’s Highways UK Excellence Awards. The award recognises the remarkable collaborative efforts of all 35 supply chain partners, including Winvic, to support the local community and leave a lasting legacy whilst working to renew major roads for National Highways across the Yorkshire North East region. Winvic’s Social Value Manager, Emma Rhymes has been actively involved in the group over the past two years.

The awards, which celebrate quality and excellence in the Highways industry, were attended by the Roads Minister, National Highways CEO, alongside Winvic’s Director for Civils & Infrastructure, Rob Cook, Surveying Director, Fin O’Brien and Business Development Manager, Justin Fitzgerald.

The awards ceremony was held at the Vox Conference Centre, Birmingham, as part of the wider Highways UK Show in the NEC which brings together the people responsible for planning, developing, maintaining and future-proofing the UK’s road network.

Well done to Emma and everyone involved in the group. Their time, energy and contributions have resulted in some fantastic collaborative social value outcomes. We are exceptionally proud to be part of the winning team.
