PLP and Indurent appoint Winvic to deliver 645,000 sq ft logistics build

PLP and Indurent have kicked off the speculative development of M1 XL, a 645,000 sq ft logistics building in the East Midlands.

The partners have appointed Winvic Construction Ltd to build the scheme, which will aim to cater to large-scale logistics occupiers in the region. Practical completion is scheduled for December 2026.

PLP and Indurent secured planning permission for the development in September last year. M1 XL is located on a 38-acre site next to junction 24A of the M1, and adjacent to the East Midlands Gateway rail freight terminal.

M1 XL will feature a 360-degree circulated, cross-docked layout, along with 5.4MVA of power. Savills and Apex Real Estate Advisors are acting as joint agents on the scheme.

Back in November, PLP, Indurent and Winvic celebrated with a ground-breaking ceremony along with special guests from the local council.
