T-Level Opportunities
We understand that the traditional academic route to a construction career is not for everyone so we support alternative learning approaches through T-Levels.
T-Level Industry Placements at Winvic
At Winvic, we understand that university isn’t the only route to a rewarding career in construction. That’s why we’re proud to support T Level qualifications, providing students with the perfect blend of classroom learning and hands-on industry experience.
We work with colleges to support industry placements as part of students’ qualifications. Student’s complete placements of up to 350 hours whilst studying for qualifications such as a T-Level. This gives students a real insight into the world of construction whilst starting out their initial career journey.
What Are T-Levels?
T Levels are two-year courses designed for 16 to 19-year-olds, developed in collaboration with employers to ensure the curriculum meets industry needs. Equivalent to three A Levels, a T Level focuses on vocational skills and includes a substantial industry placement of at least 45 days. This combination equips students with both the theoretical knowledge and practical experience required to excel in their chosen field.
Our Commitment to T-Level Students
At Winvic, we are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of construction professionals. We offer industry placements across various disciplines, including civil engineering, construction management, quantity surveying, and planning. These placements provide real-world experience on live projects, allowing students to apply their classroom learning in a practical environment.
Ambassadors are active in promoting T-Levels at Winvic in their communities and sectors. Their activities range from speaking at events and mentoring new providers, to working with employers to create industry placement opportunities.
HEAR WHAT OUR T-LEVEL STUDENTS HAVE TO SAY:
Name: Viktoriia Grachova
Position: Trainee Site Support
Currently studying: Construction Design, Surveying, and Planning
Everyone at Winvic was extremely welcoming and I quickly felt part of the team. The way that I have seen a unit go from the very start to completion has given me a brilliant insight. I learned so much on my work experience placement, including how to set out different packages – from the sub-base to landscaping – and how to use all the different types of equipment. My role was to work with the other engineers and shadow them but when I was confident, I took on more tasks on my own. This helped me develop even quicker. The placement was invaluable in helping me to find out what I want to do with my career and the team helped me to take steps toward it.
Name: Mohammed Sammad

I chose a T-Level because it provides real-life work experience and balances out what is taught in class and the real world. In my work placement with Winvic, as a Trainee Site Engineer, I thoroughly enjoyed improving my construction knowledge, it has also made me realise that this is the career I want to pursue in the future.
Viktoriia worked on our Crown Place, Birmingham Multi-Room scheme, where she quickly became our HP Site Print expert.
Her passion for digital construction and emerging technologies led to features with Procore Technologies and BBC News Midlands, where she shared her enthusiasm for the innovative technologies used on the project.
