Winvic’s Managing Director for Civils and Infrastructure, Rob Cook, has been invited to join the judging panel for the 2024-25 National Highways Asset Community East (ACE) “Better Together” Awards, bringing his expertise and industry knowledge to help select this year’s category winners.
Winvic is also proud to sponsor this year’s awards – an event that celebrates the dedication, innovation, and excellence of the individuals and teams working across the East Region of the National Highways Scheme Delivery Framework (SDF). As a long-standing SDF delivery partner, Winvic is delighted to help shine a spotlight on the outstanding contributions being made across the ACE Community and wider supply chain.
The ACE “Better Together” Awards not only reflect on the successes of the past year but also promote and reinforce the three imperatives that guide National Highways and its partners – Safety, Customer and Delivery. More than that, the awards reflect a commitment to continuous improvement across the East Region, driving innovation, safety, and sustainability within infrastructure projects.
This year’s ACE Awards feature seven categories:
- Health, Safety and Wellbeing Initiative
- Project / Team of the Year
- Collaborative Project / Team of the Year
- Customer Experience of the Year
- Boots on the Ground Award
- Unsung Hero of the Year
- Rising Star Award
Rob Cook, Managing Director for Civils & Infrastructure at Winvic said: “I am honoured to be part of the judging panel and to help celebrate the exceptional work being delivered across the East region while supporting National Highways three key imperatives – Safety, Customer and Delivery. The ACE Awards are a fantastic opportunity to recognise the individuals and teams behind the projects who make a real difference every day.”
Rob Barron, Supplier Relationship Manager – Operations East at National Highways said: “On behalf of Asset Community East (ACE), I’m thrilled to welcome Winvic as our main sponsor for this year’s Awards.
“When I founded the ACE Awards in 2021, I could never have imagined the scale of success they would achieve or the enduring impact they’d have across the East Region’s supply chain.”
“The 2024/25 period was not only marked by the significant shift to the Scheme Delivery Framework (SDF), but also by the continued pressures facing the highways sector. Despite these challenges, colleagues across Operations East and our supply chain partners have risen to the occasion, delivering a capital programme valued at approximately £136m.”
“Now returning for another year, the ACE Awards focus remains on recognising the dedication, professionalism, and outstanding contributions of teams across the East Region.”
“A special thank you to Rob and the rest of our judging panel, drawn from both National Highways and the supply chain, for generously offering their time and insight as they take on the difficult task of selecting just 7 winners from a field of exceptional nominations.”
“Good luck to all those who’ve been nominated.”
