A new 419-studio student accommodation development in central Beeston has officially opened ahead of the academic year, with English rugby legend Mike Tindall joining project partners and local representatives to cut the ribbon and mark its completion.
Beckton House, situated on Station Road in the town centre, has been delivered by developer Cassidy Group Ltd in partnership with Winvic Construction, with student accommodation operator Fresh appointed to manage the scheme.
Cassidy hosted a launch event at the development to mark its completion, with guests given a tour of the accommodation and communal areas before hearing from those involved in the project’s development and delivery.
Designed for students at the University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University, residents are due to move in ahead of the new academic year in early September. Each studio is equipped with an en-suite bathroom and kitchenette, with the overall development designed to achieve an EPC A rating.

Designed to provide a range of spaces for residents to socialise, study and relax, Beckton House features communal areas alongside facilities including a cinema room, private dining kitchen and gym.
The development also benefits from its central Beeston location, with the Beeston Town Centre tram stop just metres from the front door, providing convenient access to Nottingham city centre and both universities.
To complement the physical amenities, students are also eligible for a variety of additional financial benefits – all aimed at improving student life and making the jump to solo living a bit easier. Included in this is a free tram pass worth £375, free monthly laundry up to £326, a £1,500 cashback on selected studios, a generous referral scheme and option to live as double occupancy at no additional cost.
