INNOVATION & DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES

Creating measurable value for our clients

The Future of Modern Contracting

Creating Better Outcomes Through Innovation

Innovation at Winvic is driven by a simple principle: it should create measurable value for our clients. By combining digital technologies, data-led decision making and sustainable construction practices, we improve certainty, reduce risk and enhance performance throughout the project lifecycle, enabling us to deliver buildings and infrastructure that are efficient, resilient and future proofed. We are continuously learning and improving, not just collecting data but using it. Our existing practices and processes are improved through insights from exploring and trialling innovations, right through to implementation stage.

Our clients benefit from our tenacity to challenge industry norms and explore innovative products, methodologies and designs. Research and development is therefore crucial to Winvic, and our expanding scope of R&D activities demonstrates the expanding scope of the construction industry and our proactive commitment to identifying opportunities. We are always working with key suppliers and consultant partners to progress ideas into manufactured articles. We understand that no two buildings are the same, so we take a customised approach to every corner of every project so that the right solution is applied strategically, systematically and effectively.

We believe innovation should create measurable value for our clients, project teams and end users. By combining digital technologies, robust data and sustainable construction practices, we continually challenge conventional approaches to improve project outcomes. From whole life carbon assessments and low carbon construction methodologies to digital reporting, renewable energy solutions, modern methods of construction and supply chain collaboration, we use innovation to make informed decisions that reduce carbon, improve efficiency and enhance project performance. Our integrated digital platforms and business intelligence tools ensure these insights are shared across our teams, clients and supply chain, enabling smarter, evidence-led delivery at every stage of the project lifecycle.

OUR COMMITMENT TO DIGITAL CONSTRUCTION

Digital Construction is a core capability at Winvic, embedded across every stage of project delivery. It brings together people, processes, information and digital technologies to improve safety, quality, productivity, sustainability and client outcomes through connected data, intelligent technologies and collaborative ways of working.

By implementing Digital Construction, Winvic commits to embedding digital thinking into every stage of project delivery, strengthening its position as a leading UK main contractor and creating long-term value for clients, partners and employees.

From Innovation to Industry Standard

Winvic’s commitment to innovation has been evident throughout its history. Pro-Wall, a precast concrete dock door wall, was developed and designed in Winvic’s first small office at Moulton Park during the delivery of Pro-Shed for Prologis. With an ambitious target to complete the warehouse in just 50 days, the team developed the solution to support the programme. The innovation went on to influence warehouse construction across the industry, with precast concrete dock door walls now a common feature of warehouses throughout the UK.

  • Innovation is embedded in the way we deliver projects. We continually explore new technologies, smarter processes and more sustainable solutions that improve safety, quality, productivity and environmental performance across our sites.

From pioneering digital construction tools and alternative fuels to industry-first technologies, we’re committed to finding better ways of working. By embracing innovation across our projects, we’re improving quality, increasing productivity, reducing environmental impact and creating safer, more efficient working environments for our people, partners and clients.

  • Building Information Modelling (BIM) provides the verified structured information, governance and collaborative processes that enable Digital Construction. By creating and managing coordinated digital information throughout design and construction, BIM improves collaboration, supports informed decision-making and delivers benefits for developers, occupiers and project teams throughout the asset lifecycle.

From cost savings and shorter construction programmes to faster design decisions and more efficient building management, BIM provides the reliable information that underpins technologies such as Digital Twins, digital handover and data-driven asset management.

We have a proven track record of delivering BIM-enabled projects for our clients and continue to invest in our digital capabilities. From establishing our Centre for Innovative Construction (CIC) in 2019 to the launch of onsite Sustainability & Innovation Hubs. We have continued to strengthen our ability to deliver coordinated digital information and meet client information requirements. We hold independent ISO 19650 Certification, demonstrating our commitment to best practice in information management.

  • Winvic delivers Digital Twin solutions that transform project and asset information into intelligent, connected digital environments, enabling clients and delivery teams to make informed decisions throughout the entire asset lifecycle. Built upon our expertise in Digital Construction and Information Management, our Digital Twin solutions provide a single source of truth by integrating design models, construction progress, asset information and operational data into one secure, information-rich environment. This enables project teams to improve collaboration, reduce risk, enhance visibility and ensure a seamless transition from construction to operation.

Whether delivering complex Data Centres, Industrial and Logistics developments, major Infrastructure or Multi-Room projects, Winvic’s Digital Twin services enable clients to realise greater value from validation and verified information from BIM processes, improve operational resilience and establish a scalable digital foundation for smarter, more sustainable assets.
